So it has taken our old friend ~lady-maree to get me to finally organise a deviantART Meet Up for the month of December 2008

~lady-maree is here on December 2nd 2008 so if you guys want to catch up with her please let me know and I can organise something for you.

I've noticed some little Brisbane Meet-Ups going on and also this Night Sketch one I found interesting



I was also thinking we could have a REAL deviantART Meet on Saturday 13th December at our usual place in Southbank.

Brisbane devMEET December 2008

Where: Southbank Parklands, BBQ Hut near children's swings

When: Saturday 13th December 2008

Time: From 10:30am onwards

What to bring: Art supplies, Cameras, Christmas cards, Christmas gifts [for fellow dA friends or randoms], Crazy hats, Furry suits [what is a furry suit] and any games, frisbees, hula hoops, musical instruments of your liking.

Non-dA Members: Feel free to bring your friends and other friends from deviantART. Be warned that the member from deviantART are usually crazy and hang from the trees and rafters.

Food: It is also essential you bring some form of food, or money to buy food on the day. I will not be providing a BBQ this time around, BBQ's are usually around $100-140 to fund and at the moment my budget is limited. 2009, we can has BBQ.

deviantART Surprises: Maybe. As Always I try to get dA to surprise us with random things from mystical boxes left by unicorns. So being Christmas we can only cross our fingers and hope Santa Fella is good to us!

Confirming you are going: Please TRY send a note to *brisvegas and let me know you are going to come, it's nice to have an idea on numbers!

Twililght: The Movie
The movie Twilight opens on Thursday 11th December, and I know a lot of you will be wanting to see this movie [apparently]

Hello everyone

Well our poll has been up for long enough, if you didn't see it or vote, oops oh well!

So 10 votes have decided that we will meet at the South Bank end of Goodwill Bridge. This means you can get off at South Bank train station, go grab some food and head on over to the Goodwill Bridge!

The only thing you have struggled to do is decide on the date, so I say TO THE POLLS! Please vote which day suits you best and in a comment explain why, ie: Saturday, because sunday have to work, and so forth.

Hello everyone

I hope you all had a good Christmas, New Year [Chinese NY Feb 6th] and Australia Day!

There is not much going on at *brisvegas right now so this is the journal to put down your meet ideas. Be it bowling, drinking, swimming, movies, general meet ups and so forth.

I want all of you to give me your ideas for meets, because everytime I throw a meet someone always says they have a better idea for one!

So from now on I'm only in charge of this account, you, all of you, are in charge of thinking up the meets for yourselves. Then I will post all the details and keep you informed.

Sounds fun doesn't it! So what are you waiting for, Christmas?

The last deviantART Meet for 2007 is TODAY!!!!!! Pray for no rain with lots of sunshine!!!

*If you are coming for Breakfast see you around 8:30-9:00am! We got Baccon and Eggs, Toast and OJ!

It's a gold coin donation for food! breakfast and lunch are separate so if you are eating chuck money in for both! Bacon 'aint cheap!

If you are not coming for Breakfast see you around 10-11:30!!

DECEMBER 2007
4th Annual OMFGWTFXMASBBQ!!!

When: SUNDAY 2ND December 2007

Where: South Bank Parklands, BBQ spot near Suncorp Piazza [next to playground]

Time: Arrive between 10:00 and 11:30am Finishing around 3:00pm onwards. [Breakfast will be around 9:00am]

What to bring: Monies to donate, hat, throw rug to sit on, Art gear, Cameras, chairs, xmas cards, xmas gifts, xmas hats

Are we still donating money?: Yes! we always donate money to cover the BBQ cost and to save for future meets, gold coin donation of $2.00 or higher to cover the costs of the day.

What's doing?: This will be the last of the four[4] BBQ's for the year of 2007 and our 4th Christmas BBQ bash.

Games!!
cricket/soccer will be played! Bring a frizbee that's always fun! Got Twister, bing it!!

Additional notes: I will be making Baccon and eggs for breakfast as Rachel and I will be there early, so if you want a cooked breakfast, some OJ or a coffee come along.
